Tears From Heaven

I knew I have to do something on this day. A day to remember. A date that comes by again only after every four years. Something that we can always remember.. a fond memory. I am not going to let it goes by just like that.. 29Th February, a leap year. On this date, I will celebrate again when I am 51, with God's will.

Today, 28Th February.. a hectic day for me. My staff on leave. It's a half day. Tomorrow is a weekend again. The last day for February. Another month end. I have to finish all the reports, submit claims and to collect all the cheques from clients before closing the account for the month. So much things and job to catch up, and to meet up with clients later part of the day. The weather is very dull, so windy and cloudy. And it rains now and then.
After I decided to call it a day from work, I start to head home. It's almost 2.30 pm. Time to take a rest and to take a short day nap. After all it's already my off time now.., and it's already begin to rain heavily again.
The wind blowing so strong making the zinc roof from my house extension flapping with loud noise awoke me. I was worry as it might cause leakage on my ceiling again. This gonna cost me money. We never have this strong wind for quite sometime already.
This heavy down pour started since the nomination day, 24Th February. I remembered it very well. From that day onwards, it has been raining every morning, windy and cloudy. I wonder it signify anything... Just for the record, the Parliament was dissolved on the 13Th February. I don't know why the PM deny the dissolve even on the 12Th February. It was published in the press on the 13Th, but later part of the day, it was mentioned on live radio that the Parliament have being dissolved.

At 4.30 pm, I decided to drive my kancil out since the petrol consumption is lower as compared to my Toyota Uncer. I have been using my kancil more often ever since the price of petrol went up so fast within the past few years.
I have no idea where to head on. Since it is so windy, and the water level at the Sultan Yahya Bridge is getting very high as if it's going to flood, I decided to go to the beach,...the Beach of Moonlighting to take a look.
The wind is so strong and it's starting to rain again. This strong wind is really abnormal. No wonder the meteorological department warned that the sea is gonna be very rough and the wave will be as high as 3.5 metres and is at danger level for all sea activities.
I moved around with my Kancil car, snapping some photos.

It's nice to take photos while driving, but have to be very careful. I always make sure that there is no oncoming car in front or behind.
It's 28th february at 11.05 pm now. I am saving this write up until 12.01 am., 29th february.
I want to publish this blog on this special date.
With lots of photographs too.
And to share with you !
The rain water effect on my front windscreen.

Driving back to Kota Baharu.
Scenes of flags and campaign materials at Jalan PCB.
Stopped by at the Tambatan di Raja.
A man fishing at the Tambatan under the heavy rain.
Kids dropping by to watch the man fishing. Isn't this nice ?
At Kota Baharu town as I was heading home before it gets' dark.
Got jammed at the Sultan Yahya Bridge.
Good Morning 29th February 2008 ! It's being raining the whole day.

oh dear.. spam spam spam... hate those silly adverts.. they really give empty compliments =p

annnyywwaaayyss, it seems you been taking photos for almost half the day! i noticed that it was somewhat more bright and then it became darker and darker and darker =) wonderful photos!

also, the roads must be somewhat empty that you can drive and take photos =) i dont have that skill yet, still need to put two hands on the steering wheel =) heheheh..

PAS PAS PAS... where are the BN banners and flags.. oh yeah kota bahru.. i forgot, in kl, everywhere you see BN and this other party, of gosh.. im really bad at politics but its symbol is a rocket. yeah i know, im old enough to vote.. and i should! shame on me =( im not even registered =( sigh, you would think the youth of malaysia would take an interest in where the nation is heading.. again ashamed..

apart from that, great photos! i especially like the 'wet' ones.. its blurry but in that mysterious blurry way =) like, you really wanna focus to see whats in the picture =)the trees are scccarrrryyy, the first thing that went through my head was hurricane! hurricane katrina to be exact! i know it happened in america..hahaha, but for some reason, i thought of that first instead of the tsunami.

the wonders of american propaganda.. come to think of it, i feel rather young and shallow right now =p hugs!

ps- hope your family is doing great! =)

KBguy,
You captured images while driving? Cool! But I did that on a coaster ride. Beat that hahaha :)
Your pictures gave me the gross idea of the climate in Kelantan. Tambatan DiRaja is one of my hang out place at KB. But I never know that people are actually fishing there! I know a spot at the other side of the bank (people call it 'pantai palsu', correct me if I am wrong). I used to have a night walk along the other side of riverbank when I was in Falahiah, and hey that one was great...ah...nostalgia... :)

Kbguy,
You did the right thing to post a blog on the 29th of February since it occurs only once in every 4 yrs. You put on record that the few days at the end of February were rainy days as if the sky was crying over something. Was it the fate of our nation and its people that made the sky shed it's tears?

KBGuy,
Happy belated birthday. Being from KB myself, your pictures bring back a lot of good memories. I could still see myself cycling down that stretch of road to PCB back in the late 60's and early 70's. On my short visits back to KB in the 90's, I used to stay at Taman Sri Kebakat where I had to cross a rickety old woodden bridge (no longer there). KB will always hold a warm spot in my heart as this was where I grew up. When my two boys have flown the nest (one in college and one in high school presently), I will surely be back. Keep on posting. I enjoy visiting your sites.
