China Trip - 2nd Day Shanghai / Zhouzhuang / Suzhou

Wake up call is at 6.30 am and breakfast is at 7.45 am. However I woke up at about 5 am due to cold weather. Moreover I am just used to waking up early and don't like to rush especially for breakfast. By 8 am we are already in the bus getting ready for our next destination.
Today's first stop is Shanghai city at Huai Hai Road along Shanghai River for photography and sightseeing.
Then we were brought to Nanjing Road where there are lots and lots of tourist. I think we were slightly early at that time as some of the shops were just about to open. But at least we get to feel the busy street of Shanghai with lots of well dressed people. I think they are very fashionable, trendy and smartly attired. No wonder, some people says Shanghai is the twin city of Paris. Am I right ?
By 11.30 am, the guide took us for lunch at a restaurant. Later we proceed to Zhozhunang about 2 hour journey travel by bus. We reached the Zhouzhuang Water Village somewhere around 4.00 pm. The village was build during the Ming and Qing dynasty along the river canal.
We didn't have much time at the village as by 5.30 pm it was already dark. We proceed for dinner at the hotel cum restaurant in front of the entrance to the village. After dinner, we proceed our journey again for about another hour to Suzhou. We reached there at about 8 pm, and our friendly and caring tour guide brought us to the night shopping area at Suzhou.By 9 pm, we gathered and meet to proceed to our hotel at Scholars Inn (tel. 4008887388)

This hotel is right opposite Sheraton Suzhou Hotel, where our former Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir used to stayed and extended his holiday because of the very comfortable silk comforter and bed cover they used, as was told by our tourist guide. For your information, Suzhou is famous for producing silk especially for bed cover, bed sheet and silk comforter.

I am impressed with the cleanliness of the streets and the city itself. Water village is equally beautiful. Don't tell me you didn't have a ride on that sampan? I'm sure that kind of service is available for tourists?
