Hangzhou to Shanghai By D Train..

Here is the interior of the D-Train we took from Hangzhou to Shanghai and return on the same day. The train travels at about 170km per hour, and the journey took about 2 hours. We took the 10 am train from Hangzhou, and did managed to have fun in Shanghai before taking the next train back at about 8 pm from Shanghai Nan (South). The price for each person is RMB54.00 and its fully air conditioned, clean, with clean toilets as well and very convenient. They even have a cafeteria. See the last photo of the cafeteria.
Now you see why I just love travelling around Hangzhou - Shanghai on my own ?? I am looking forward for the next airasia offer to travel to this wonderful place again before my retirement.. or before the economy collapse ! ha ha..

Look like we are still far behind in term of public transport.
Thanks again for sharing.

I've always heard China's trains are very nice and clean.
America's public transportation sucks unless you go to Washington D.C. or New York City.

You travel before you retire? I'm waiting until after I retire to see places I've never been to. Love travelling by train, too. Choo choo ... from KL to wakaf Baru ...
