Meeting Beijinger, A fellow Blogger..

Photo above: Tian Nan Men Square
During summer, the day light is longer than the night in Beijing. At 4.30 am, it is already as bright as 7 am over in Malaysia. And dusk is almost the same time as in Malaysia. As such I have more time to see Beijing. At 11 am I call up fellow blogger of Mr. Shang , and by 11.30 am he is already waiting for me at the hotel lobby. We have a brief introduction about ourselves, and we continue to talk at the same time walking along the to the famous Tian'Nan Men square.

Mr Shang or also know as Shang Ning show me to a few places of interest near the square, but I suggest not to go to those places yet as it would be covered by the local tour tomorrow, inclusive of entrance fees, transportation and lunch.
And we continue walking along the ancient street of Beijing. Beijing have a few ancient streets and they are all called Hutong.
Next we took a cab to the popular local shop visited by the locals for some light snack which comprises of a few bowls of sheep's intestine (again), and some delicacies make up of ground nuts and 'tofu'.
Then we continue the tour by taking a rickshaw, accompanied by the peddler cum tourist guide. I think they are authorize by the tourism industry as they seems to know much about the places they brought us, and more over they are wearing a name tag.
We stop at a few places to visit the ancient houses. Most of the houses do employ English speaking guide to explain more details about the ancient house, inclusive with the entrance fees.
Mr Shang accompanied me until about 4 pm. We have to split off as I have another appointment in the evening with Chun Yi. It was a great pleasure having meet Mr Shang a Beijing Blogger. We are planing to come out with a join blog (Malaysian-China) if every thing goes on well. Please come back again soon to read about my next posting on Chun Yi.

That's quite a tour of Beijing - the ancient streets are almost more interesting than the famous sights. Lovely photos.

Thank you for the great pictures.
You really had a great day, especially not having to walk as distances in Beijing can be extensive.
