Temple of Heaven

After lunch, we proceed to Temple Of Heaven which is within the city center. It is a big complex which was formerly visited by the emperor of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayers to Heaven for good harvest.

I nearly froze the last time I went there: it was January and I wasn't wearing a coat. brr! I haven't taken a break from blogging, but in China I could only access blogger.com through proxy servers, and Mr Linky doesn't work when you're viewing the page through a proxy. Hence I haven't been taking part in memes.
What did you think of you time in China?

Sorry I haven't been to Xiamen or Guangzhou.
Beijing Mandarin is considered the 'gold standard', hence why you won't hear native Beijingers talking in dialect - their dialect is Mandarin!
