On 4th August, I took the night flight from Kota Baharu to Kuala Lumpur. The following morning I flew to Guangzhou at about 5 am from KLCT and arrived at 9 am. The flight wasn't as smooth as my previous journey as we had to go through turbulence when typhoon hit Hong Kong and moving towards Guangzhou, Xiamen and Taiwan. It rained while I was in Guangzhou city. I took the night train from Guangzhou (7.30 pm ) on the same day to Xiamen and arrived the following morning at 8.30 am. I mistaken bought the soft seat type where the chair is unable to decline packed with Chinese crowd standing during the entire 13 hours. all for the purpose of visiting Nan'an where my paternal grandfather came from.
Join me on my next posting with interesting photos and how I find out Xiamen to be an interesting place to visit, not forgetting my most memorable experience doing the things the way the local Chinese do and how I got through the 8 days travelling without been able to speak the 'pu'dong' language which literally means the 'common' language, the national language of China.
The journey for root search...
Kota Baharu - Kuala Lumpur - Guangzhou - Xiamen - Nan'an !

So you cook, that's great. My husband stopped cooking after he got a "maid" (that's me) LOL
You must be the boss of the house to be able to fly here and there. You are lucky the typhoon didn't blow you to Taiwan.
Cheers,
