I was in Xiamen from the 6Th to 10Th August 2009. Xiamen is opposite of Taiwan, and we only experienced intermittent rain and strong wind at times. On the 7Th, I was at Gulangyu Island and on the 8Th I was travelling by bus to Nan'an. On the 9Th, we travelled to visit the Tulou (Earth Building) Hakka house. I admit we were informed about the typhoon but I never expect it could be that bad over in Taiwan.

I could not view yr blog yesterday..our internet too bad getting worst each day ..I'm now on GPRS signal...bad..very slow.
Anyway I'm glad you are safe.I watch the news on TV about this typhoon.
