Wat Machimmaram is located at the Pengkalan Kubur district in Kelantan, and border to Southern Thailand, Takbai. It has the largest Sitting Buddha in Southeast Asia. It is 30 metre high and 47 metre wide and is frequently visit by tourist from near and far. Occasionally there are many Buddhist celebration and festivals held over here. One of the main event is the New Year celebration held every year.
To get there from Kota Bharu, you'll have to drive across the Sultan Yahya Bridge (near Tesco Hypermarket) to Pengkalan Kubor. The distance is about 21 km from Kota Bharu, or alternatively you may also contact or phone below:

The Sitting Buddha is sure HUGE! and tall! I haven't been there yet, but I heard there is a sleeping Buddha along the border too, if I'm not mistaken :)
