It is easy to move around within the town of Chiang Rai as most of the tourist spot within the town are quite near to each other. There are sign boards everywhere showing the location and the distance. And best of all, there are restaurants everywhere. And food in Chiang Rai are reasonably priced.
It was in May when I was in Chiang Rai. The weather was quite hot even during the night. I was told that the best time to visit Northern Thailand is during November to January as the weather will be cooler.
Actually what I enjoy most of Northern Thailand is the scenery and food.

Thanks for sharing Bro...
I love this kind of place.
Much like the cabs in the Philippines. Even if they have meters, some would insist on a fixed price. Love the street scenes especially the 2nd one. And I'm sure the food is superb. How can you go wrong with Thai food!
Cool photos, love the colorful street scenes.
Wonderful photos, I just love the clock tower.
Hi kb, I used to rent a room from a lady from Chiang Rai. That was about 20 years ago(!) when I was working in Machang. I never made it to Chiang Rai but it's nice to see your photos. The food stalls look great - I love the Thai street food :).
So this is Chiang Rai! I have been talking to my son about the place since yesterday. He had an offer to work in a resort there. It's good to see glimpses of the place. Thanks!
Such beautiful landscape. Thanks for sharing!
